Early morning activities, such as game drives, require warm clothing. Evenings from May until September can get chilly and quite windy. The ‘long rains’ usually fall from mid-March to mid-May while the ‘short rains’ are from late October to mid-December.

The 'short rains' of 2019 have been unusually heavy and long, extending up to May 2020.
